Exhibitor profile

Czech hand-made products

The German-Czech Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DTIHK) is a bilateral foreign trade chamber in the worldwide AHK network, which actively promotes economic exchange between the Czech Republic and Germany. At the Bazaar, the DTIHK organizes a Czech national stand where traditional Czech products are presented by the following manufacturers: handmade bakeware and cookie cutters by Helix International (MICKEYBAKEWARE), and ceramic products by Keramika Strunovi and Keramos Praha.

Helix International (MICKEYBAKEWARE) produces baking and cutting molds. Mr. Klícha, company owner, was inspired in mother's kitchen when he baked Christmas cookies with her as a child. His mother used only simple shapes such as circle or star, and Mr. Klícha remembered that it might be nice to create several shapes too. And that's how it all started. Currently, the company produces an incredibly many different forms – the most interesting are for example forklift, fighter, crocodile or swan.

Keramika Strunovi makes ceramics with the aid of traditional and also modern method of production. From the beginning, the main aim of the company was to produce original ceramic products with an unmistakable and unique signature. Their products are divided into four categories: gift, decorative, utility ceramics and ceramics for interiors and gardens.

The symbol of the workshop Keramos Praha is the traditional blue-white majolica, which is turned on the circle of potters and handpainted with blue glaze pigment. The company production comes from folk tradition in order to achieve the best craftsmanship. Its affair of the heart is the longest sold nativity scene in the Czech Republic (since 1967).
